Draft website privacy wording for review before publishing.
Cowling Commercial Insight uses enquiry information to respond to website enquiries, assess whether a business is a suitable fit for the Commercial Insight Review, and manage related follow-up.
Information collected
The website enquiry form may ask for your name, email address, business name, role, website, trading area, sector and the commercial question you would like to discuss. The owner diagnostic prototype may also ask for owner-supplied business context such as enquiry levels, average order value, conversion estimates, customer types, capacity constraints, competitor concerns and the decision the owner is considering.
How information is used
Information is used to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, prepare or discuss a small fit-check sample or paid review. It is not used to publish case studies, testimonials or client details without written permission.
Owner-supplied commercial figures
Commercial figures entered into the diagnostic are treated as owner-supplied or owner-estimated figures. They are not treated as public facts and should be verified by management before being used for decisions.
Public evidence
Commercial snapshots and Commercial Insight Reviews may use public evidence such as websites, public review platforms, public directories and local market sources. Private figures are only used where supplied by the business owner or authorised contact.
Retention
Enquiry information should be kept only as long as needed for the enquiry, review workflow, record keeping and legitimate business administration.
Before publishing
This privacy wording should be reviewed and finalised before the live website is published.
